Garcinia Cambogia, also known as Malabar Tamarind, Brindleberry, and Kudam Puli, is a tropical fruit mainly found across India and Southeast Asia. It has centuries of traditional use as a condiment and as a remedy in Ayuvedic medicine. More recently the focus has fallen on a component found in the fruit rind called Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA). Laboratory, animal and human studies have shown the potential for HCA as a weight management supplement supporting fat metabolism, appetite and cravings. Research indicates most effect at higher doses between 1500mg and 2800mg of HCA daily.
Most Garcinia supplements in New Zealand use extracts containing 60% HCA, or between 300-600mg per tablet/capsule. Sanderson GarciniaMAX 95% HCA is different. The state of the art extract used in GarciniaMAX contains 95% HCA; so each tablet contains 750mg Hydroxycitric Acid, and just two tablets delivers the 1500mg daily dose suggested in research. The tablets are suitable for vegetarians.
